To all EUROPA owners and followers - I received this sad message via Ivan Sh
aw this morning. The whole EUROPA family will remember Don with affection an
d eternal gratitude for his role in our wonderful aircraft. Our thoughts go o
ut to his family.
"I am very sad to report that Don Dykins died Sunday last. He was 88 and had
been in poor health over the last couple of months.
The funeral is on Thursday Feb 11th at 3.30. at Wood vale Crematorium, South
Chappell, Bear Road, Brighton.
I will be attending Dons funeral.
I have many fond memories of Don and of course the Europa would not have bee
n the success it was without his aerodynamic genius. I have learnt so much f
rom him over the last 25 years.
Sincerely
Ivan"

Thanks for the info Graeme.
I have made contact with Chris Lisseman and will arrange to go and see him
with my gas strut and ball ends to arrange to buy a small stock. Their
minimum charge is 25 so I would be happy to purchase a small number for
other members of the Club.

Subject: | Radio & Transponder |
Hi Everyone,
First time post here, so please be gentle !
I have recently taken over the build of a Tri-Gear XS, and I understand that I
will need to change the Radio, and Transponder before I can get a UK PTF.
I have a MX 125 TSO Radio and Garmin 327 Transponder, both new and unused. Also
a Garmin 340 audio panel which I will probably remove (as I think its a bit overkill)
Would there be a market for these in the USA ?
Although most of the panel is complete, I am thinking of starting over on the electrics
(as they appear over-complicated) , and building a new glass panel (thinking
a 10" Dynon at present), so any comments/experiences would be welcome

Hi Bob,
I have a Dynon 10" and am very pleased with it, despite a component failure requiring
it to go back to the factory for a repair under warranty.

Hi Steve, need to replace one of my gas struts as it no longer supports the door
safely, so count me in.

You can have them regassed/serviced. You don't need to buy new. Industrial Gas
Springs Ltd someone has put there details in this email.

Family...
