Hi, does anyone have a Europa wiring schedule based on the manual electical layout
but in a layout package like ExpressSCH or DesignSpark Electrical (or any
other package)? I'm ready to pay for it . . .

Clive - Im not quite sure what you mean by a wiring schedule, and Ive never heard
of the tools you mention, but I wonder if either of the documents you can find
at:
http://www.rowlandcarson.org.uk/aviation/europa_435/wirebook.php
would be helpful to you. These are PDF documents, but I imagine you would want
to edit them for your own use, so would need the source files from which they
were produced.
I made the wiring diagrams in the CAD application CADintosh (Mac-only); they can
be exported as .DXF which should be readable by most drawing applications. (NB
DXF does not support all entities that can be created in CADintosh so there
could be some differences in appearance.) CADintosh can also export IGES and
HPGL but I suspect those formats are less likely to be of use in your context.
I made the list of wires in FileMaker Pro (runs on Mac & Windows); if you dont
have FMP, I can make an export from it in tab-text, CSV, DBF, merge, HTML table,
XML (specify your .XSL stylesheet) or .xlsx spreadsheet format.
Hope this goes some way to answering your question, but please get back to me if
you need more info.

Hi Rowland,
Thanks for your prompt reply and info.
By schedule i mean the kind of wiring diagram one would find in your Haynes Manual
for your car - a graphic depicting the wiring layout rather than lists (though
they are fine of course).
ExpressSCH (http://www.expresspcb.com/expresssch) and DesignSpark electrical (http://www.rs-online.com/designspark/automation/designspark-electrical) are CAD-based tools one would use to create these layouts.
What i am after is a layout in one of these (or other similar free package tools)
as a starting point based upon the generic electrical layut in the manual -
that i could then extend.
If the list you linked for me has a CAD/DXF or other format data file that shows
the layout/connections etc, that could really help me.
regards,
Clive

What about the one in the build manual. That covers all the basics and gas a similar
layout to the car type your speaking off.

Hello Alan,
The reason for my ask is that the schematic in the manual is generic, only in paper
format and not specific to my aircraft. When it is finished i want to have
a set of documents that give the precise detail of how it is wired up.
Clive

Clive - have a look at the PDF wirebook at the URL I posted and let me know which
pages youd like as DXF files.

In case anyone else is experiencing tailplane play, I have just
completed & can recommend LAA mod 11969.
http://www.theeuropaclub.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/11969-TTpins.pdf
<http://www.theeuropaclub.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/11969-TTpins.pdf>
It replaces the pins with AN4 bolts, cuddle washers outside & a curved
strip with anchor nuts on the inside.
Ian Rickard compiled a list of over a dozen fixes & I felt this was the
best choice for me.
Many thanks to him & also Richard Collings the designer.
If anybody wishes to discus the nitty gritty, please give me a call.
Cheers,
Roger

Hi Roger
I installed this mod when i built my aircraft, to me this was the best solut
ion for removing the slop in the tail planes.
Like you I would recommend this to others.
I'm just about to be involved with another build and this mod will also be i
ncorporated into this other aircraft.
Kind regards
Donald

Is there any reason why i cant use the 30amp breaker (load terminal) as a
mini bus to power the stuff in my panel?
It seems easier to hang the electrical loads directly off this rather then
take the power to a bus and then back to the panel.
