Early Tri-gears used "Motion Systems" type 85615, but once the company discovered they were being used in aircraft, declined to supply any more. They are still being manufactured and design data can be found here: http://www.actuator.com/products/product/linear-actuator-85615-85616/ Europa then sourced its actuators from the German "Baumeister" company: http://www.baumeister-balingen.de/english.htm The model you're interested in is the 120se - navigate to >Products>Actuators>Actuator Series 120>Actuator 120SE" where you'll find a data sheet with the loads you want. Speed of operation is important when choosing an actuator. The earlier Motion Systems actuators were much faster - which could be a benefit in getting the flaps deployed quickly, though there were isolated reports of the carbon brush assemblies failing. I already tried to attach photos but will try again later. I removed the mentioned sealing again, since it obviously made the situation worse. Again, in flight the setup worked perfect under all conditions-I even didn't came close to CHT-limits when climbing FL200 in summer without a level off. CHT reading should also be correct since I once shut down at 118C and could hear the coolant boiling a little bit. Flying a well adjusted monowheel one notices that the flap can be placed anywhere in it's range and left floating. It won't move. The bungy is ther e to compensate for the weight of the undercarriage. No electric motor has been added, to keep weight down. I agree that the loads involved in moving the flaps seem reasonably constant throughout the travel of the lever, perhaps becoming slightly heavier towards the fully extended position. Just a subjective opinion.
