I am considering the above MOD, but finding it difficult to visualise the finished effect. Does anyone have photos from the interior of their cockpit, and do those that have done it consider it worth the effort ? I have just completed the door strut re-positioning, so if I am going to do it, now would be the ideal time, before repainting the door interior. Our group Classic 80hp Rotax silencer is cracked. I also need one for the Classic aircraft I am building, which has a 912ULS. So I am thinking of getting at least 2 made. But if anyone else is interested, I may get a better unit price on a bigger batch. I am thinking of getting them made in stainless. Can anyone please confirm that it is the same silencer for 912 & 912ULS? Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=460383#460383

Hi Are they not available from Europa? If not your can get one from CKT in stainless http://www.cktengineering.com/aircraft-exhausts.html They probably make to order. Dear all I just want to check that I understand the fundamental concept of the electrical system All the loads (with some exceptions) are connected to the buss bar. When the engine is not running the battery powers everything. Once the engine is running the alternator powers everything and charges the battery. So the flow sort of reverses as soon as the alternator comes on line. Do I understand correctly? William Daniell LONGPORT +57 310 295 0744

Absolutely nothing can be ascertained until we have direct visualization of your circuit diagrams AS BUILT. To much variation in the wild to claim anything about home built aircraft. Any other comment here would be pure surmise -------- Ira N224XS Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=460399#460399

VGs may lower stall speed, but unless you have a plan to place them asymmetrically, I can't envision how they would reduce exciting behavior in an asymmetric lift stall condition. Then again, a 0.1 difference is certainly within the envelope of control authority provided you keep the ball and wings level. Best to ask Bud! He's the one with a degree in aerodynamics! Moving the forward socket requires jigs, digital level and cautious application Of a heat gun. If you are not the original builder, I would suggest you subcontract the job to an expert. -------- Ira N224XS Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=460400#460400
