Hi Martin, Might I suggest another solution. The standard sight gauges for the water level in boilers use a background with angled black and white stripes. Due to refraction, where there is liquid the stripes are reversed which makes it very easy to see the level. I poked around on Google Images and found one example on a steam locomotive. Simple, effective, cheap and it will work with gasoline. See below. Dear all, Thank you very much for your help. I'll start to close all gaps around the radiators and then check out the improvement, before doing some more improvements. Probably I'll come later back to you, especially to Gilles, Jim & Heather for some detail questions. Thanks again for the great support! Wish you all the best. Hi John, Martin. This idea can be found on page 3-4 of the build manual. No need to reinvent it Tim > On 04 October 2016 at 19:44 John Wigney <johnwigney@windstream.net> wrote: > > Hi Martin, > > Might I suggest another solution.
