Had exactly the same issue. The doors were nearly impossible to close from the
outside, totally impossible from the inside. Found out though that if you leave
them locked for a few weeks, the seals settle and compact. No problem now! Will
still bolt a wooden knob on the inside back to be able to pull the back end
in.

Hi All
I would like to share a little problem solver . I am tidying my classic Europa
redoing the upholstery , new fuel measuring and putting extended luggage bay in.
I wanted to empty the fuel tank, for the fuel mod and decided to take my capacitance
gauge mod out. To my surprise there was a lot of bits in bottom of the
tank and a layer of fuel. Some of this was bits from sealing the cap gauge
in originally now dislodged but some just bits. I have always been strict on filtering
my fuel when filling from cans. Now vacuuming the tank out would be a
wee bit on the dangerous side, I put my memory to work. Years ago I did a bit
of diving and remembered the use of airlifts to lift sand etc underwater. So
I got a couple meters of 15mm plastic pipe and drilled a hole about 450mm from
one end call it A and inserted my airline air nozzle facing A into drilled hole
then placed other end B into tank . When I pulled trigger on the air nozzle
it worked sucked up the bit of fuel and debris, it also picked up after all fuel
was sucked out , leaving me with a clean tank. I hope someone will find this
of some use

Will,
I had the same situation (XS fuselage), but found that only the lower
horizontal seals caused the problem. I stayed with the original seals on
top and on the sides, replaced the lower seals by a thin version:
problem solved, the doors close easily.

I set up the doors and they open and close fine...nice tight fit and
flush.
Without the seal.
With the seal (without transparency) i have to lean most of my weight
down to get the shoot bolts in. This is obviously going to be hard with
the windows in and my concern is not engaging the rear bolt by mistake
causing the door to depart.
Had anybody had the same problem? I am thinking of finding an
alternative seal.
Will

Subject: | Re: Engine rubber mounts |
Hi all,
any news on this?
I seem to have the same problem as Remi but even worse. I've purchased my rubber
mounts from Europa in 2012.
I'm also considering to reinstall the old ones - odd enough!
