But I'm sure there has been the, errr, odd insurance claim too where a trike's
nosewheel has detached at a certain point thus trashing the nose leg, cowling,
prop and engine........
All variants of the Europa are delightful aircraft including the trike. However
although I don't continually slag them off I wouldn't want a trike for myself,
personal choice. I love my mono.....! :D

Subject: | Mono Fuselage Dolly |
Hi,
This is just a shot in the dark, but further to my request yesterday for
information about a Europa fuselage dolly I now know that it was apparently
GIVEN to a person (presumably a Europa owner) somewhere north of the Thames.
That person obtained it by innocently responding to an advert on the LAA
forum. The date of that advert was around May 29th last summer.
If that person reads this message or knows of that person please be aware
that it belongs to me and I would like to recover it.
I know that the person who currently has it will be unaware that it belongs
to someone else. I regret that what has occurred is the result of me
lending it to a person in good faith and that person then thinking it was
theirs to do with what they wanted.
The dolly is actually the fuselage fitting for a Mono Europa road trailer.
Without it, the trailer is of no value for transporting an aircraft.

I'm finding the Europa Club website is having problems when trying to renew my
membership online. I'm also wondering when the annual dinner is this year (given
that its February already) - can anyone illuminate me please - is there a
problem?

Subject: | Tapered tailwheel spring twist |
Hello all
The new tapered tailwheel spring I received has a twist along its
length. When I inserted the mounting bolt in its hole and looked along
to see how well the spring shaft aligned with the bolt it seemed to be
out of line. Difficult to measure accurately but about 2 degrees.
Is it reasonable to expect perfect alignment?
