Nice map Roland. You can see that we have very few UL91 stations and we mostly fly on normal car petrol. Personally, if minus temps. or over 30deg C are possible I use Avgas. Hello Barry, my Rotax 914 is perfectly happy with 95 Octane Premium from the car station also >30C OAT and up to FL200. Must depend on the Rotax model . I well remember your story from Wershofen, when you had to change your pants after landing due to vapour-lock. Generally the Rotax doesn't like 100LL at all and I avoid it whenever possible. Incidentally - will you visit or exhibit at the AERO? Regards Roland PH-ZTI XS TG 914 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=466853#466853

Thanks to all for some very helpful information. After seeing the Total maps I did try to sign up for a Total card and received this, plus 6 attachments of forms and 'guidance'. Apart from wanting to sell me 100LL, it would seem from this they are not that keen on new customers, Oh well! To finalize your registration, thanks to return us: - The registration form here attached, fully filled, dated and signed, - A proof of transfer of the deposit to our bank account (details in the attached file RIB AVIATION GARANTIE.pdf) , - Your bank account details (a document certifying that the bank account belongs to you). The owner of the bank account must be the person mentioned in the contract. - The SEPA authorization. Fill particularly the IBAN/BIC field, date and sign. Please note that your bank might not accept SEPA. In this case, we wont be able to deliver you an Air Total Card, since payments are made by direct debit through SEPA. - A copy on both sides of your aircraft registration, mentioning the fuel requested (AVGAS 100 LL), - A copy on both sides of your ID Card or Passport, - A proof of address issued within the last 3 months (in the form of an original utility bill like gas, electricity, phone or council tax). Thanks to return all documents by mail, at the following address: TOTAL MARKETING FRANCE Direction aviation - Service Clients - Bureau A1322 24, Cours Michelet 92069 PARIS LA DEFENSE CEDEX - FRANCE Do not send by e-mail, as we need original documents to proceed to your registration (Plus a deposit of 200 !) The total card makes such a difference. Refuel at any time (Self service) including lunch times! It makes traveling in France quick and easy. Once you have the Total card it's easy no extra forms every year. I know French bureaucracy is a little frustrating. I use AVGas when over there, I know it decreases time to overhaul but the 912S runs fine I thing mine runs a little better if anything. The best method is taping, Talk to glider pilots, they will be able to put you on the right track. The pressure difference between the top and underside of the Europa wing is even greater than on a glider , which makes proper sealing of the wing root very important. Since my Classic Europa is always hangared, I can leave the tape on for the flying season. Our airport is still covered with a foot of snow.
