I'm currently installing the TY91 into a new panel. Because I had to do both the Mode S and 8.33 I decide to start a panel from scratch. I haven't used the Trig equipment "in vane" yet, But from the installation point of view, very easy. I did select it for three main reasons. Firstly I preferred the user interface to the others, secondly the control heads do allow for very flexible installations, and thirdly, the integrated intercom, removes the need for a separate piece of kit. I am trying to find a window of a few days in the next weeks to install the panel, and complete the last bits of wiring. I need to install an RDAC to run MGL EFIS/EMS in addition. I can report back once I have done the final fit to the aircraft. Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=468407#468407

After 6 years/300 hrs my 912S has started sticking on startup; prop just stops. I think this is due to resistance build up in the PC680 Odyssey battery so I have ordered a replacement. TBH I am surprised it lasted the winter. I have a feeling that stress/judder etc from poor turn current could start to affect other stuff that gets mentioned; exhaust cracks, and engine mount bolts. 6 years seems about the limit for a battery doesn't it? -------- Graeme Bird G-UMPY - Mono Classic/XS FFW 912S, Woodcomp 3000/3W CS, trutrak Gemini 2 axis ap, pflarm, ads-b out, 8.33khz, mode S, FP-5, Aera500 & SD on Nexus, 280 hours & 5 years on the Mono, 900 total g(at)gdbmk.co.uk Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=468408#468408

I have just replaced my battery after 8 years. It was still working fine but thought it should be replaced rather than fail somewhere remote. I do leave it connected to a CTREK charger which conditions the battery as well I think Kevin Challis > On 15 Apr 2017, at 11:26, graeme bird <graeme@gdbmk.co.uk> wrote: > > > After 6 years/300 hrs my 912S has started sticking on startup; prop just stops. Replaced my PC680 recently due to a slight kick back trend only on cold weather starts. No problems since and battery had been in situ for 9 years/200 hours. Andy Ringrose --- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. http://www.avg.com

I will certainly do if the author of the original data approves it. I will ask him. A word of warning. The data I was provided was in the form of a number of Excel spreadsheets that I imported into MS Access to create the required relationships. From there I can filter information to make the inventory process more manageable. But what that means is that knowledge of MS Access is required.
