I understand that the UK EuroFox agents are working with Rotax to develop a variant
of the 912 ULS that will deliver a constant 120hp. Last time I heard they
were up to 115hp but still had some more things to try. I believe that this
involves modifying the standard 912 ULS with new parts and revised engine mapping.
Their motivation for this is to give the EuroFox tug a bit more grunt but
I imagine it would work very well in a Europa too. They plan to have a demonstrator
      flying by July this year.

      Regards,

      Phil

      Hi Graeme,
They should be a snug fit, but certainly no hammer needed; should be easy to connect
and disconnect with a little force.
      Cheers,
      Tim

Thanks Tim. It is good to know that the fitting should be snug with a
little force, now I know what to aim for.

After sending the email I had a close look at the pins and I think one of
them was slightly out of parallel with the torque tube. I've adjusted the
pin slightly (yes, with a hammer :) and I'll reassemble later tonight and
      see how it goes.

      Regards
      Graeme

Very happy with my Pilot Aware, especially since it will soon display glider traffic
      without any add on required.

I prefer audio alerts and dont regard the screen display as essential.

Its a shame that some people still fly around with their mode C off

      Graeme,
You do not need to buy anything ells !!!! You already have FLARM Core. you
simply connect your Pilotawre (PAW) to the FLARM Core and you use PAW as the
butterfly key. it will display everything onto your tablet screen with audio
alerts if you connect to your intercom. There is a large amount of work been completed
to make PAW see gliders on the OGN network. There is a topic on this
in the PAW Forum which will help you get your head around it all but it is easy
      one the penny drops.

      Link to the subject http://forum.pilotaware.com/index.php/topic,869.0.html

There is info somewhere the tells how to connect your PAW to FLARM with a USB to
      RS232 cable.

Drop me PM if you want any help, as I have been with PAW from the begining.

      Hello again,
Trying to sort out my Europa.
I have an Arblast pv 50 on the Europa I got from the USA. It has an LCL display
and manual switch in the cockpit. Before I got a chance to fly with it my engineer
had to replace the control box located in the engine bay as the battery
had leaked and ruined the electronics. Now I have an aftermarket control box that
      uses current from the aircraft.
When I operate the switch in the a/c, it adjusts the propeller pitch and the number
on the LCD display changes. The range is approximately 30 (fully fine) to
approx. 130 (fully coarse). This may or may not correspond to the readings from
the original controller. I take off and land with a reading of not less than
47 as this limits the max RPM to 5800......everything else is just a guess........any
      ideas?
Did a bit of googling and saw a Smart Electronics CSC-1/P (they don't appear to
make them anymore) that seem to be compatible to the pv50. Are they any good
and would I be able to get a second hand one? Would ideally like an Airmaster
but have to make do with what I've got for the meantime.
