Subject: Europa-List: Wing Fairings

Hi All

Started looking at fitting the root fairings to the wings yesterday.
But the supplied fairings do not fit particularly well and will need some extensive
work with a heat gun to remove the twists and bulges.

Has anybody created fairings by glassing directly to the wing ?

It would not take long to create a radius with some foam and by staggering the
overlap on the wing, it might avoid some of the problems with filling the step
created when using the pre-moulded fairing.

The supplied fairing is 1.3mm to 1.5mm thick which equates to about 4 or 5 layers
of BID I think.

Any thoughts ?

I'm having the same problem. I suspect it may be my motor. Whats led you to think
it maybe your jack screw.

I have a suspect pitch change motor. Has anybody sourced a new motor lately.
I've googled the part number on the old one and checked the motor manufactures
web site but not having much luck.
