I think there is one in argentina and one in brazil but i could be wrong. However due to distance and terrain i didnt have much dialogue with the other colombia constructor who builds essentially to resell. The forum bud the late Nev and the factory were the biggest help. Many thanks again Will On May 30, 2017 22:54, "Fred Klein" wrote: Hearty Congratulations Willespecially after building under somewha t isolated conditions...might you be the first first-flight on your continent ? Its not been forwarded to the specialist team apparently. It implies that mine might be first of type - is anyone else downwind or in the circuit? One of the issues to resolve is my woodcomp prop though; "needing to satisfy the LAA that the leading edge protection qualifies as adequate protection from erosion by rain" Its certainly got a big fat plastic leading edge well sealed in. But as far as I am aware I am not forbidden from flying in rain in VFR am I? I have done fairly often; obviously avoiding where possible. I haven't seen any damage these last 300 hours with my SR3000/3/1625/R/T. I have asked kevin and the factory and await a response. The web site says "environmental tests for determination of propeller resistance against the atmospheric effects as are for example dampness, dustiness etc." Rain is a kind of extreme dampness :-) Has anyone seen any damage from rain. Even with IFR on the plaque, I am going to avoid where possible. -------- Graeme Bird G-UMPY - Mono Classic/XS FFW 912S, Woodcomp 3000/3W CS, trutrak Gemini 2 axis ap, pflarm, ads-b out, 8.33khz, mode S, FP-5, Aera500 & SD on Nexus, 280 hours & 5 years on the Mono, 900 total g(at)gdbmk.co.uk Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=469738#469738 ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 04:52:15 AM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Re: Tragedy From: "graeme bird" Very sorry indeed to hear that. Mine has the trim set well down for almost everything - always been so. Didn't seem to upset Mr Draper. Maybe there is a way to centralise it. -------- Graeme Bird G-UMPY - Mono Classic/XS FFW 912S, Woodcomp 3000/3W CS, trutrak Gemini 2 axis ap, pflarm, ads-b out, 8.33khz, mode S, FP-5, Aera500 & SD on Nexus, 280 hours & 5 years on the Mono, 900 total g(at)gdbmk.co.uk Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=469741#469741 ________________________________ Message 6 _____________________________________ Time: 09:43:45 AM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Re: Tragedy From: "Rick Moss" Someone much wiser than me wrote: "To my mind flying is something of a lottery - something - anything - can leap up and bite you no matter what you fly, how often or how little you fly, how much or how little experience you have, how much you anticipate or how intrinsically safe and well maintained the aircraft type or how well you and other people are trained. Too many. Thats something we _really_ should talk. *** I talked just once with Neville. That was around 1998, when I started to build my Europa. I asked him how about children in Europa. He encouraged me to make certain children seats to my Europas backseat. I did, and we were and are happy. * * *Thanks, My Dear Neville!!!* His English was not so book written but my English was just a fucken shit during those days - however we managed it very well say 20-years ago. I do remember him forever.
