Good morning Carl, I've called Bad Drkheim and they told me, that they cannot clear immigration there unfortunately, so Hahn might be an option (however rather expensive AFAIK), Saarbrcken EDDR, or maybe indeed Le Touquet, as Jon suggested. A note concerning Zweibrcken, they are PPR for all flights. Hope this helps. Regards Roland Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=469957#469957

OK. So having spoken to another flying buddy it looks better if I keep out of Brussels airspace and fly direct from Lydd to Zweibruecken. I just need to give them 24 hours prior notice so they can arrange the border police, and then let them know when I expect to arrive. They all seemed happy. So, my revised route at FL050 is: Lydd - SOVAT SOVAT - Auchy les Hesdin Auchy les Hesdin - RENSA RENSA - AKELU AKELU - E1 VRP(NW of Zweibruecken) E1 - Zweibruecken In nil wind we're looking at 2 hrs 20 mins. Bring it on! All the best. Carl Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=469964#469964

I appear to have a very small leak from the radiator on my 912S. There is some evidence of coolant coloured water around the base of the rad and on the lower cowling. I have only had to top it up by about inch of coolant into the overflow bottle in 12 months. I am wondering if Radweld or similar would sort it out or should I bite the bullet and replace the radiator? Richard Iddon G-RIXS

I believe that someone used Radweld for just such a minute leak and that it worked just fine, but of course it's very unlikely to be an approved remedy for aircraft. Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=469971#469971

I had a small leak on mine a while back, starboard side about 1" up just where the horizonatal tube meets the column. Changed the radiator. You are sure its not the port pipe to rad joint though leaking a bit after flight? the presure builds up there when the pump stops. -------- Graeme Bird G-UMPY - Mono Classic/XS FFW 912S, Woodcomp 3000/3W CS, trutrak Gemini 2 axis AP, PAW, PFLARM core, ads-b out, 8.33khz, mode S, FP-5, Aera500, SD on Nexus, SmartA3 290 hours & 5 years on the Mono, 930 total g(at)gdbmk.co.uk Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=469977#469977

Graeme, Before buying a new radiator get it checked out by your local radiator shop. They pressurise them to find leaks. They also can fix them easily. My one turned out not to be a leak from the radiator but from the pipe joining the radiator. Can be very deceptive where it is coming from! Only needed tightening the clip. Sadly I've finally faced the reality that my lil'Hummel wont be ready for a trip to Osh this year due to real life getting in the way. So it won't be ready for a trip to the Great Canadian Europa Fly-in either :-( :-( so it looks like i'll have to pass.... the gathering like a hoot though! ....next year's maybe? :-) I will be trailering to Osh into my usual spot at the tower gate, with my Europa beer cooler and lawn chairs at it's door in the shade waiting for ya'll as usual.
