Clive, you could always donate it to the Europa Club Tools loan scheme. We stock a range of specialised tools and equipment that the average builder/owner could not justify purchasing. I just happen to administer it ..... so have a vested interest! If you're planning on attending the Club AGM - this Saturday at Popham - bring it with you. Subject: Re: Tail Plane Fitting
    From: "graemeh" <graeme.hart@onecoolkat.com>
My last update (quoted below) seems to have updated on the website but didn't seem to email out. I will do this update via the website to see if that is more reliable. I've made further progress and now I have both tailplanes fitting quite well, the front pin is almost fully engaged (about 0.5mm or 0.02" to go) and the back pin is about 2mm (approx 5/64" or .0787") from being fully engaged. Any further suggestions or advice on how to sort out the discrepancy between the front and back pins would be greatly appreciated. As a side note, I've discovered that 9.5 degrees C or 49 degrees F is ideal for fitting the metal parts together. It is proving much easier to install and remove the torque tube now than in warmer weather. graeme.hart(at)onecoolkat wrote: > Thanks for the tips everyone. > > I ended up buying a selection of pipes from Aircraft Spruce with approx the right inside diameter. My next step is going to be to measure inside the tailplane to see if the torque tube is hitting something inside the tailplane. The pip pin holes have not yet been drilled so I can't use that as a guide. > > Any suggestions or critique of the above thoughts would be most welcome. I've wasted enough time procrastinating over the tailplane fit, I want to get them installed and move on. > Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=470313#470313

More searching shows it is a Saf Air M12175. Available from Aircraft Spruce at $43.95. So the thread is 12X1.75 http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/eppages/safOilDrainValves.php?clickkey=4298847 Thank you very much once again Jim. Armed with the info you have so kindly provided, I find I am able to purchase a similar product here in Oz at a very reasonable price so have now ordered it. Much obliged Kingsley

It was a great event chaps. The people and the hospitality were fantastic. It was great to get the longest flight prize. 580nm+ either way! I shared it with David and Karen also from the UK as they'd flown almost as far. Thanks Roland for inviting us to this event. You may not have organised it, but you were the one that brought it to our attention. I'll hopefully see you chaps at another one. If you're planning to attend any others, please post them on this forum so others can see if they can make it too. All the best. Hello to all, this post made me think I need to fit one of these as well. A quick search on the Internet yielded this result from Quick Valve in the UK. Model F107N has a nipple to allow a tube to be fitted and it costs 23.97 GBP plus postage. Mine is on it's way. http://www.quickvalve.co.uk/f107n_details.htm Regards, John -------- Europa mono Nr 192 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=470324#470324

Dear Europaphiles, because it was so nice at the Bad Drkheim fly-in last weekend, I just want to let you know, that I'm planning to attend this event. Yet a couple of Europa pilots have announced their coming as well. Would be great to meet you there (again) :-) Cheers Roland PH-ZTI XS TG 914 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=470360#470360

Mine is on it's way. http://www.quickvalve.co.uk/f107n_details.htm The product at this link is exactly the same product as what I have ordered over/down here. Only difference is the part number being EZ-107. The hose nipple is extra. Cheers Kingsley do not archive
