Hi Fred.
Any chance you could make me a set? I have a Europa Tri-Gear classic.
Thanks
Carl

Would any of you electrical whizzes by any chance have a spare diode
suitable for putting over the starter solenoid, as per build manual -
mine went AWOL somewhere around Lundy Island!

Hi David,
I have one in my hand. Should I send it to the address given for you in
the club magazine?

Subject: | Re: Tight TP5 and TP6 |
Thanks for the reply J&H. I now think that the bushing friction issue will be fine.
However, I have found that the outboard rib flange (or cap) is not going to pass
my strict inspection criteria :) so I may need to come up with a way to rebuild
the rib cap with minimal damage to the foam cores.
This may end up being the subject of a separate post but, in a nutshell, the cap
is not tight against the foam in a number of places places as the glass goes
around the corner of the cap and the glass protrudes too much over the foam.
Since I REALLY don't want bumps on the glass skins that have to be hidden by building
up with filler then I need to do something about cutting down and replacing
the caps. The good news is that the cores are not glassed so I feel they
can be taken apart. The decision will be on how to do it to minimize damage to
the cores. I think that separating the outboard core will be easy except for
the hole for the TP4 tube because these tailplanes have the 10672 mod.
Regards,
Chris Martin

Subject: | Toe Brakes with Parking Brake |
Has anyone experience of installing a Parking Brake with the standard Tri-Gear
Toe Brakes ? I have read the various 33T documents from the Builders Manual, but
only the Finger Brake version mentions the Parking Brake, and I have no wish
to convert to the Finger Brakes.
I am wondering if something like the MATCO PVPV-D can be used in line between the
standard Toe Brake Cylinders and the Wheel Brakes , or if further modifications
of the hydraulics system are required ?
I have added a diagram from the MATCO website which shows the PVPV_D installed
with their vertical brake cylinders, but the comment about their vented reservoir
cap being the highest point in the system concerns me, considering that the
standard cylinders used on the Europa are horizontal.

I would, however, be happy to share more pixs and particulars=85I think
the issues of thigh support & lumbar support are key to comfort.
