Hey Craig. Once you get all your wiring in, both in the panel and on the firewall,
you will be struggling for space........that's what I found. Good luck

After much research and consideration I am looking for a Europa to buy. Have you
got one?
I would like an XS model although a 'nearly XS' might be considered.
It must have a Rotax engine and I would prefer to stay away from a turbo.
I have an open mind with respect to landing gear arrangement.
Based in the UK, I am willing to travel but given what we have done to our currency
recently I might not be able to afford anything that isn't priced in s!
If you are thinking of selling yours please drop me an email with details to europa(at)flagunfurled(dot)com
or give me a call. :D

Can't find anything in the NACA library, except:http://naca.central.cranfield.ac.uk/reports/1955/naca-rm-a55c30a.pdfwhich applies to swept wings.Logically, there may be an effect in reducing the spanwise flow over the outboard section of the (fowler) flap, when the flap is deployed. But drag in that configuration is a definite advantage in getting the a/c on the ground. Might be worth exploring to see if there is any detectable decrease in stall speed?

While on the subject of the outer flap hinge, given its location, my
thoughts were it might be advantageous to turn that hinge faring into a
"fence" to help reduce spanwise flow.
What say yee gentlemen to that. Or is it a lot of work for no real gain

Exactly the two things I thought would be of interest to you and why I
posted the link (pure luck that I had read this article again earlier this
week, otherwise I would not have thought of it [Wink] )

I had the red X over the ammeter this am and i pulled the alt cb to reset
it. It spike to 60a and them immediately went bavk to 7a. I aassume that
this is an instrument anomaly.
But....I want to check whether everything is behaving normally.
Both in engine running 3000 rpm (normal operation): 8 a 13.8 v
Pull the alt cb: indicates 1A, 15.5V and then back to 13.8
Pull the batt cb: no change: 8A 13.8v assume everything runs off
alternator.
Pull both cb: non dynon instruments go dead...dynon continues to function
on back up battery. Indicates 1a 13.9v. I am assumjng the 1a is the dynon
back up btty
So to me this seems normal.
1. When you turn off the battery everything runs off the alternator -
normal volts and amps.
2. When you turn off the alt the system runs off the batt...i dont
understand why the batt should be 1a (the back up batt). The main batt is
an 18 amp hour batt.
Does this sound ok?
