the reason they wear on the outside is when you set the legs on the build the weight of the aircraft is suspended so no weight on the legs, when the aircraft is fully built with engine/ prop/ paint / fuel it will cause the legs to toe in and create wear on the outside of the tyres, i gave mine an additional bit of toe out, ( just the thickness of a tongue depressor) and my tyres seem to be wearing evenly, Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=476658#476658

Hi Hats of for Trig Avionics. I ordered a TT31 transponder for 7-8 years ago and during the installation I had some issues. Trig staff was very supportive via phone and mail. In order to send ADS-B OUT with Pilot Aware, I had to upgrade the TT31 to latest software version. Again staff at Trig was extremely supportive. Response time close to zero. Upgrade, shipping and handling free charge. I have had my share of none existing, or very poor, support from other BIG avionics companies. I will strongly recommend Trig not only for the outstanding TT31 but also for outstanding support. Merry Christmas Stephan LN-STE Europa Mono

PRICE REDUCTION Due to the number of owners showing interest and assuming they are converted into orders the price has been reduced to 195 GBP plus postage. The reduction of course applies to the those who have already signed up! From: "rainbow462" <jeremy.hoyland@pepsico.com>
Hi I'm just waiting on news from Europa as to prices/availability of the "bug eye" canopy mod as I could really do with a little bit more headroom, to help straighten my back out. So, just wondered if anyone has done this mod, how much extra headroom it actually provides and if there were any disadvantages worthy of note? Many thanks Jeremy Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=476667#476667

They get my full endorsement as well - a good old fashioned contact-based customer relationship attitude and sensible approach to warranty. TT21 and TY91 installed 2017 - broadcasting (switchable) ADS-B as fed by iLevil GPS NMEA data at 9600Baud. JeremyI see in the suppliers online catalogue that the domed door windows are still being offered. While these windows give a distinctive look to our birds which some may belittle, installing them would be something I would do if I were rebuildingIve not, however, ever sat in a Europa with them fittednothing is free, of course, but Im unaware of any measured (cruise speed) penalty. Good luck, F.

Hi Richard You have a Classic the pictures were for the XS with a side filler. The AD applies to both. I have just inspected mine and whilst the inside looked perfect the fuel tank end was noticeably soft compared to the top section. I intend to replace it with aluminium as per Standard Mod 13070. If you are interested John Archer, who is getting the pipes made, is taking orders now. Regards Pete G-RMAC Classic #109 On 21/12/17 07:11, Richard Lamprey wrote: > > Stupid question, but I will ask anyway... All the examples, photos, LAA report etc point to the side-filler Europa pipe, with 45 degree bend, which was an alternative to the top-of-fuselage original filler. I have the latter, the long pipe coming down through a hole in the rear bulkhead. Was this a different pipe batch? Inspection shows no problem with mine, I fill to the top before every flight, ie right up the pipe, then fly, then leave tank with about 3/4 full ie the pipe is not immersed for long. I fly once a month, Nice constant temps in Kenya 15-28 C for storage, all seems to be OK. > Best > Richard > Classic 5Y-LRY, Kenya > > > Read this topic online here: > > http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=476654#476654 > >

Subject: Mod 64B - Hi Top Fuselage
Hi All I am seeking tips and advice on completing this mod from those who have done it before me. I hope to complete the first step of gluing the in-fill piece to the top of the canopy over the Christmas / New Year break. We are having an unusually warm summer this year so early evening I often have temps of around 22 degrees C in the garage which should be perfect for the gluing I need to do. Daytime temps are getting up to 38 degrees C so I shouldn't have any issues with the glue taking a long time to cure. I have found a few pictures that show the work required around the windscreen and some that show the finished mod from the outside. Can anyone point me to pictures showing the inside and the work required on the in-fill pieces (not the foam but the factory provided glass layups that I need to trim to fit). I'd also appreciate any tips on the best way to build a support so I can tip the fuselage top on its side to work on. Thanks Graeme
