A replacement nose leg for a Trigear Europa is required. Has anyone
got one available either to be purchased or borrowed and replaced in due

What does the 'XS' stand for?
Maybe someone involved with the Europa in the early days knows the answer, Ivan

As I explained in an earlier e-mail, there is no LAA Standard Mod to fit an aluminium elbow on an XS Europa. As nobody has applied for a standard Mod I have agreed with Andy Draper that I will do so. It will be based on Tim Ward's aluminium elbow and will use Samco Profuel joints. These can be purchased from www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk in a short length of 76mm for UK Pounds 11.24 plus VAT and postage. Currently there is a 39 day lead time on this item. Part number PSCH51-BLU
I will give you a progress report after Christmas.

to both.
I have just inspected mine and whilst the inside looked perfect the fuel tank end
was noticeably soft compared to the top section. I intend to replace it with
aluminium as per Standard Mod 13070. If you are interested John Archer, who
is getting the pipes made, is taking orders now.

Duncan - first, apologies for having apparently ignored your request for so long.
Google has suddenly started treating many of my incoming innocent messages
as spam and I only just realised this (I normally check about once a month to
make sure it hasnt deleted any important stuff, but I will have to be ore diligent
until it learns better habits).
Yes, the one that was on the Club CD included a result column showing CAS/RAS,
based on the other data collected during the test flight.
Still trying to find out how to make a copy appear in the new Club website.
I think one of the references I quoted in my previous post on 14 Dec gave the formulae
to get from TAS to RAS/CAS.

Kelv,
I believe that the XS designation is only to separate it from the original classic
version of the Europa. I dont think it really means anything in particular.
Perhaps someone familiar with the history can come up with a more interesting answer.

I'm hope everyone is doing well. I have taken too long of a vacation from building
and going to get back into it. Last I left off I was getting the finger
brakes ready.
Since my kit is a mono wheel conversion I don't have F28 & F29 for the 'shelf'
that the master cylinders rest on.
Does anyone have these for sale?
I like the idea of working on the brakes from above vs creating an access panel
from below. I'm sure I can order them from Europa but at a premium (US costs).
