Subject: | Jeppesen charts & Bottlang manual. |
I have quite a number of Jeppesen and other charts covering quite a lot of Europe.
About 50 in total. Some dating back to 2006 and some more recent. I also have
a set of Bottlang airfield manuals for most of Europe. I am not likely to
need them again myself and was just about to bin them but wondered if anyone might
like them as a back up to electronic charts for the price of the postage?
Richard Iddon.

Richard, I would certainly value them. Although now I rely for flying
purposes on electronic charts I still find it very helpful to carry
paper ones to wach progress and for planning, and although I have
probably got duplicates of all yours I am often asked to loan some to
others in the group. Regards & Happy New Year, David

Subject: | Smartass UC down sensor? |
Could someone who has fitted the Smartass with a 'gear down' sensor let me know
the spec and location of the switch please? If you have a pic of same, that
would put the cream on top. I'm about to fit one and would rather avoid reinventing
the wheel on this . . . thx in anticipation Clive.

Clive,
I've always had micro switches on the outriggers that illuminate warning lights
on my panel, so when I fitted a SmartASS I just linked it in to the same wiring
and it all works just fine.

Clive, I have just fitted a microswitch in the down detent - so it only
activates when the lever is into the detent. I can't remember now where
I got it from, but you can I am sure find one of the several firms who
supply such things on line. I picked a waterproof one and fixed it with
small screws through the holes in the switch + a bit of araldite for
luck. Regards, David Joyce, GXSDJ
