I have the Mod Kit but does anyone in Auckland have the correct 16.5mm parallel hand reamer I can borrow to do the job ? Happy to pay shipping costs. That said i do like the fact that the engine is not electrically dependant. However there are few modern engines (Rotax iS, Continental CD 155 Diesel, car engines....) which aren't. As far as I know there was only one (documented) electrical related accident in Switzerland with a MCR01, which didn't have a standard setup if my memory serves. That said, it's of course always better to have redundancy (other than just the battery), especially in a plane and that is why I'll go for the Silent Hektik product.
