I presume the flap motor is necessary with the extended baggage bay. Something else to get wrong on landing (pump on, prop fine, gear down and.. flaps down etc) Thanks for all responses on other threads very much appreciated. -------- Graeme Bird G-UMPY - Mono Classic/XS FFW 912S, Woodcomp SR3000/3W CS, trutrak Gemini 2 axis AP, PAW, PFLARM core, ads-b out, 8.33khz, mode S, FP-5, Aera500, SD on Nexus, Smart A3 350 hours & 6 years on the Mono, 930 total g(at)gdbmk.co.uk Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=487066#487066 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 02:43:50 AM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Re: Performance of 80HP compared to 100HP Rotax From: "flyingphil2" Well spotted Richard. Definitely worth talking to Duc about the possibility though. I've been running a Duc Windspoon on another aircraft and am very happy with it and don't know of any problems with them so they seem like a decent supplier. The flap with limit is s l o w. On a go around just hit the switch and go. If not on a time budget:. Jerry Hope made a switch mod where he fabbed a fl ap shape handle, then took apart the switch to prevent the baton from rotat ing and installed the flap shaped handle to the now non rotating baton. Go rgeous work. Otherwise, just a plane switch as described is a few bucks and worth it. I f the PFA allows. It is a VP propeller but it is not yet on the market. It is being tested and once the company is confident of achieving a TBO of 2000 hours, yes thats right 2000 it will be brought to market for the Rotax ULS. A version for the UL will be some time behind that. However, their Durandel 80 ground adjustable propeller gives excellent performance on a Rotax UL. It has a ESR, extended speed range as they call it. There are several fitted to Europa aircraft in France including my own and I am happy with its performance.
