By coincidence I had my Europa Mono professionally reweighed a few days ago by Neil France using his linked digital specialist scales. I did this due to the LAA recommended / required default action so to do every 10 years. The aircraft needs to be in level flight alignment when weighing. At the point of releasing the wings it looks quite alarming, but is safe and precise. Professional weighing. Not expensive and supremely accurate. Your life may depend on the result. Most I could explain. In the intervening years a variable pitch prop had superseded the original warp drive propeller. A fire extinguisher is now acknowledged as part of the permanent aircraft equipment. A remaining three kilos gain in ten years could not be reconciled. Anecdotally many aircraft gain weight as they age. Consequently Im happy with the result. My routine W/B calculations now reflect the corrected figure. Guess the main wheel was resting against my ramp to the scales when I weighed it before. Now getting 771 lbs on the main and 73.65 lbs on the tail wheel for a total of 844.65 lbs empty. Weighed multiple times with the same results so I'm confident now of the numbers. All calculations fall nicely within the CG now. A few more minor adjustments and I'm ready to call my FAA inspector. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions.
