Thanks everyone for the answers. Trim runaway seems to be rather alarming. It
seems that a quick CB cut off is needed close to hand. I followed the original
Classic panel/ circuit diagram and put the CB in the inset step at the bottom
of the panel, but it looks rather like all the others so a more visible placard
might be useful..

Richard - I agree! Here=99s the bottom corner of my =9Cradio
=9D panel showing the guarded isolator switch close to the trim
switch & display.

RowlandMy situation was not actually trim runaway . It wa
s trim failing to reverse so the last thing you would need was to isolate t
he system . because then you would be sure to never get reverse trim.

Paint the CB orange, that's what I did after my test pilot in 2009
trimmed the servo the wrong way. He just managed to do a very hard
landing :-(.
