The rotor blades fragmented then passed through the hangar walls and hit a shipping container. The debris field consisting of several kg chunks of rotor blade structure and lead ballast hit my prop causing surface damage. Other minor damage occurred to the screen and paintwork. Following some subjective testing, tap testing and NDI, l am still uncomfortable using my damaged blade(s). Airmaster has back orders resulting in delays in UK delivery until (possibly) August. Does anyone have a set of Warp Drive blades or complete prop assy that can be loaned (at cost) to me whilst the issue is resolved and new parts sourced? Rotax 912ULS, 64in prop. I have the spinner backplate mounted brushes. I am really concerned about liability and weather damage more than hull. Thanks Will Ps my DAR visits in two weeks so with a bit of luck i should be flying again soon. The downside is that i have to go through a testing program as if it were a new aircraft. But still ....flying is much better than no flying! I purchased a nice reamer from McMaster and made an extension so I could ream with UCMF in situation. Reamer worked well but the hole on both sides is not uniform. Stbd ranges .655" aft to .659" fwd. The Prt side ranges from .654" aft to .622" fwd. The cluster weld deforms and reaming the weld hurts operation as well. I'm using a .750" OD x 7/16" ID 4130 Chrome Moly Tube for insert. Resolution: I cut off Twelve 1/2" slugs of tube, welded to 7/16" Threaded Rod to the slug, then turned starting with .649" and ending at .660". I kept tolerance = or (-) two .0001". So now I have a dozen guages growing in size .001" and began mapping out hole. Worked great. Tap in place till it gets stuck and remove using threaded rod as a slug puller. Thus I now have a nice map of each hole and will turn my inserts .001" undersized. Will let you know how it goes. If all goes well I can lend out plugs and extended reamer. Just a note: I just completed installing inserts for Mod 72 and the holes were nice and parallel, the cluster weld down below is a lot harder on reaming operation. PA 6 is Nylon 6 which is the tube I purchased, PA 6.6 is Nylon 66. The website says working pressure is only 720psi @ 73F,m they don't mention burtst pressure, but I can tell you it feels the same with about the same bend radius as the Black tube supplied from Europa and after tightening the nut, creates a "mush / push" pseudo crimp that looks exactly like the black supplied hose with about the same amount of torquing the nut as the supplied Black.
