Thanks everyone for helping.
What we found is that 4 very small screws had sheared off the end of the
gear train housing, allowing the motor & gearbox assembly to rotate and snap the
supply wires to the motor.
Now we are faced with the task of removing these small screws from the gear housing
and making good again.
Will let you know when we are back up and running again. :?

What caused them is to shear, and what can be done to prevent recurrence?

Sorry to hijack the Forum, Dave White was a Europaphile who many UK pilots will
know.
Latterly he was a gliding club member at Bicester.
David White ex CFI at Aboyne, Bicester member passed way at home in Watchfield,
Oxfordshire on 26th June after a brave and determined fight to beat the unbeatable.
His long
term partner Susan would like to invite his gliding buddies and friends to his
send off on 26th July 13.30 at Kingsdown Crematorium, Kingsdown Road, Swindon,
SN25 6SG
