The over-voltage feature of the AVC1 is also quite tempting :) I had a look over the instructions, and downloaded the additional linked documents, mainly as an academic exercise. The show-stopper for me is that the PCB board design file is apparently created in EAGLE v3 and that cannot be opened by any version of Eagle currently found in the wild (tried v9.6.1 & 5.12.0, both run fine on my Mac but refuse to open the file). Looks like the board was designed on a machine still running DOS! Does Jim Butcher have a way of opening the file, or is there any way of contacting the author to see if he can translate the file to anything more modern? My efforts to find a solution through the AutoDesk EAGLE help forum have hit a brick wall. in friendship Rowland | Rowland Carson ... that's Rowland with a 'w' ... | http://www.rowlandcarson.org.uk | Skype, Twitter: rowland_carson Facebook: Rowland Carson ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 07:10:18 AM PST US From: Kevin Challis Subject: Europa-List: Airmaster prop Does anyone have an Airmaster prop and controller they want to sell? It has adjustable voltage set-point and adjustable low voltage warning. It has a very nice heat sink that's coated with conductive Nickel Plating and has provisions for two grounds. Here's information that was sent to me from them: B&C now has a Ducati replacement regulator. Its a plug and play replacement, has OV protection, warning light output with selectable LV setpoint, and adjustable charging voltage. The unit has been tested by Vans Aircraft and needs no additional cooling. Purchase includes phosphor bronze connectors. Cheaper connectors can get loose and arc. This caused many of the ducati units to fail. B&C is running free shipping now too.
