I agree there is no benefit in having stick trim adjustment. Having a simple PTT button on top of the stick, possibly an elegant wooden domed one), is well worthwhile. But otherwise consider just wrapping the top 4 or 5 ins of the stick in thin leather, suede or Alcantara. It may encourage you to a lighter finger type grip of the stick rather than a gorilla grasp of one of those contured handles! I use the pitch trim on the grip as much as l do the rocker on the panel. They work well and I do recommend them. ALso very easy to connect to the Ray Allen servos in the above configuration. -------- John Wighton Europa XS trigear G-IPOD Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=498932#498932 ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 02:16:16 AM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Classic Monowheel Brake Caliper From: "John Price" Hi All, It may be me, but the pads seem to be binding on the disk. I've had the caliper off and changed the o ring, but as the force fro the piston to the pad is not central the unit keeps in contact with the disk as there is no spring to part the two. Has anyone come up wth an Feynman solution to solve this? TIA. John. I have reduced the effect somewhat by trimming some of the inside corners of the piston's pad. It's a lousy design. -Pete On Fri, Oct 23, 2020 at 4:24 AM John Price wrote: > > Hi All, > > It may be me, but the pads seem to be binding on the disk. > > I've had the caliper off and changed the o ring, but as the force fro the > piston to the pad is not central the unit keeps in contact with the disk as > there is no spring to part the two. From: "Matt Dovey" I usually just do it. Not really difficult. It is/was the same doing a C of A airtest. The aircraft was flown to VNE also. I suppose its for the reasons given above. Drop the LAA a line and ask the reasons why. There is a brief description on the VNE test in TL 2.06 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=498936#498936 ________________________________ Message 8 _____________________________________ Time: 06:00:40 AM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Re: Classic Monowheel Brake Caliper From: "SPURPURA" Grease applied to lube points? Eventually went for grips from long handled garden edge shears. They are green which is my colour scheme. They are a great success but I had to embed a press to transmit in the top. Neat job. Just my pennyworth, Worth a rummage at the garden centre though.
