    Subject: Final Aileron Adjustment Question
One of the last things I needed to do before my first flight was to make sure the ailerons are properly adjusted. My biggest question concerns the neutral position of the bell crank at the wing root. When adjusting this, should I have the trailing edges of ailerons align with the trailing edges of the wing tips, as the build manual suggests, or should they be aligned with the trailing edges of the flaps, which make up a huge portion of the wings=99 actual trailing edges? The trailing edge of the flaps - in the hard =9Cup=9D position - are slightly lower than the trailing edge of the little wing tip. So, as I see it, I cannot align the ailerons to both. It would seem to me to make more sense to align with the flaps. But that is NOT what the build manual says to do. How critical is this? Given that the manual says ailerons go up 23.5=C2=B0, it seems this could make a difference. Aligning with the flaps, I meet the tolerances in Annex E based on the wing tip. Any thoughts? I would appreciate any helpful comments. Regards, Jeff Williams Builder A157
