Yep is right. Cable/module interference will happen.
Pain in the butt. Some of the aircraft had a partially hanging brake caliper.
(Don't know if it was miss-drilled or what. Only way to clean it up was a small
fairing attached to the arm and fuselage to clean it up.
I never liked the fairing from a maintenance and time to fabricate standpoint.
Kim Prout did one of the first ones.

Only 90 (in line with the swingarm) is all you'll get with major tunnel surgery.
And yip.

the brake caliper 180 degree to the upper position on a mono interfere with
the rudder cables when the main gear is in retracted position? Thanks...

the cold air intake and with a flat screw driver lift each carbi piston about
1/4 at a time and note the rpm drop; a larger rpm drop indicates a richer mixture
on that carburettor, a lesser drop indicates a leaner mixture on that carburettor
(on the bing units any rpm difference may indicate a worn main needle
or jet, or a manifold air leak)...same diagnostic test can be done at idle too...
make sure the air balancing has been done first and both damper pots have
the correct oil level
Hello Area-51,
Just out of curiosity, what does this mention of damper pots oil level
refers to?
In my experience that was a feature of SU carbs, not Bing. Or am I
missing something?
Thanks,

Correct Gilles; no oil damper pots on the Bing carbi unit, just SU and Stromberg
constant depression units, same tuning/diagnostic techniques are useful for
all three types; the Bing differs to the other two in that their is no external
facility to adjust the main jet mixture (only internal needle height by circlip,
or adjust piston raising speed on wot acceleration by damper pot oil viscosity
as the Bing uses an air damper setup (adjusting piston rise speed is done
via the piston spring tension; for aviation this is not applicable as throttle
augmentation is minimal during operation)

Yep! 912 ULS not fitted to a Europa.
2 blade Fiti ground adjustable prop.
Anal about static balance.
Then got a dynamic balance done - some improvement
Then fitted a BM, just in case I got a chip out of blade (changing balance) - no
noticeable difference - so far no chip/change of balance to test idea.
Probably black magic.
