Feeling brave I put on my drysuit & headed to France for a couple of
days.
Took a while to de-ice before departure but the ignitech modules worked
really well using battery energised ignition.
I plan to fit the Ecclestone carb heat manifold

I have the curved Rotax drip trays & they will not fit when the carbs
move aft.
Did someone cut and extend the curved drip tray?

Hi Roger,
Brave man in the middle of winter!
I have the Skydrive Carburettor heat manifolds fitted which look very simila
r.
Yes, if I remember correctly, it is a tight fit for the Rotax drip trays and
I did have to get them extended to cover the carburettor bottom. Good alumi
nium welder did the job.
Had to alter the tray edges also to avoid exhaust pipes and through age had t
o repair some cracks later on.
Cheers,
Tim

David Joyce thank you for sharing your experience much appreciated. Though it doesn't
really shock me. Maybe a little yaw in the stall? Accelerated stalls
come with more drama than unaccelerated stalls, good you had height to spare.
and forward CG.
