With the PTT button failing a recent diagnostic resoldering it was time to do a
better job than the original installed Radioshack button and 1970's nylon reinforced
telephone receiver cord; not sufficient for safe soldering at all...
Modern technique and materials applied via CAD and 3D printer... new nipple dickers
finished ready to fit... eco friendly too!! corn starch printing medium and
corn starch insulation on the OEM automotive tracing; twisted pairing applied
to reduce RF switching noise... PAX will now have access to transmit.

Interesting. So rather like welding a polyethylene landfill liner, which pr
ocess is Environment Agency approved!

I wonder whether the fluorination process enables a good epoxy to plastic b
ond? My early (non fluorinated) tank debonded from the supports at an early
stage, so 'floats' about with (possibly) less stress points. Or was yours
also not the later tank?

Can anyone confirm a date when kits with the fluorinatied tanks began to
be shipped from the factory?

My kit was bought in 2003. Given the state of the tank i am reasonably
sure that if i hadnt glued it in place there would not have been an issue.
The plastic was definitely not brittle.
