The sizes above are spot on, thank you Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=507696#507696 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/23dce7b1_0c67_4a6b_9672_946151f8bb65_187.jpeg ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 02:01:03 AM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Re: Mono wheel bearings From: "Area-51" Over the past 40 years experience has shown that Koyo or Timken equally make the best quality longest lasting bearings; worth the extra dollars... Thx To Nigel Graham for his genius in developing this mod. The Europa factory incorporated this idea in the NG stabs. The BID cloth was wetted with redux on advise from Nev. The stabs which previously fit just horrible ( I didn't build it ) now fit beautifully, 1/8" gaps top & bottom front to back. I did make a mistake on the project though. I opened more of the the stab than needed, more work to re-glass but it allowed me to put a flox fillet on both sides of the rib. Oh...that's one more of my mistakes...I removed a part of the rib flange,,,it can be put back though. This seems to be air my dirty laundry week lol Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=507701#507701 ________________________________ Message 7 _____________________________________ Time: 09:03:53 AM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Re: What did you do with your Europa this week 8/13 - 8/19 From: "dmac7" A few photos Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=507702#507702 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/wp_20181216_19_24_45_pro_602.jpg ________________________________ Message 8 _____________________________________ Time: 09:06:07 AM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Re: What did you do with your Europa this week 8/13 - 8/19 From: "dmac7" The improved stab fit Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=507703#507703 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/pxl_20220818_024151257portrait2029_582.jpg ________________________________ Message 9 _____________________________________ Time: 09:27:04 AM PST US From: Pete Subject: Re: Europa-List: Re: What did you do with your Europa this week 8/13 - 8/19 NICE! The Mod plans called for some paper between the sleeves ( so BID tube is in contact only with sleeve's, not torque tube too ) then cellophane, Nev said spread some Redux on the sleeves, & wet out the BID with Redux on polythene and apply it on the tube, carefully removing polythene as required since you do 2 wraps BID. The plans don't call for Redux but Nev said when bonding to metal it's a better choice, Aeropoxy can be just fine. The plans available from Europa Club are well written. The Europa Club approved Mod just has one do two to three wraps all in conventional Epoxy. I will plan on wetting with redux the first ply where the bushings are. :) Thx! From: "dmac7" In 2018 while my Mono was waiting for me to get it airworthy, the fuel tank dumped the very stale gas, and it smelled very bad btw. The other day I think I found the leak, starboard side, rear wall of tank near center hump. One could seal it from the outside but maybe that is a non durable idea? Thoughts anyone?
