Subject: | Coming Soon - The List of Contributors - Please Make A Contribution |
Today!
Each year at the end of the List Fund Raiser, I post a message acknowledging everyone
that so generously made a Contribution to support the Lists. Its my way
of publicly thanking everyone that took a minute to show their appreciation
for the Lists. Please take a moment and assure that your name is on that List
of Contributors (LOC)! As a number of members have pointed out over the years,
the List seems at least as valuable a building / entertainment tool as your
typical magazine subscription!
Assure that your name is on this year's LOC! Show others that you appreciate the
Lists. Making a Contribution to support the Lists is fast and easy using your
Credit card or Paypal on the Secure Web Site:
https://matronics.com/contribution
or by dropping a personal check in the mail to:
Matt Dralle / Matronics

I would like to thank everyone that has so generously made a Contribution thus
far in this year's List Fund Raiser! Remember that its YOUR support that keeps
these Lists going and improving! Don't forget to include a little comment about
how the Lists have helped you!
Best regards,
Matt Dralle

Here are just a few examples of what your direct List support enables... It
provides for the expensive, commercial-grade Internet connection used on the
List. It pays for the regular system hardware and software upgrades enabling
the highest performance possible for List services such as the Archive Search
Engine, List Browser, and the Web Forums. It pays for the over 27 years of on-line
archive data always available for instant search and access. And, it offsets
the many hours spent writing, developing, and maintaining the custom applications
that power these List Service such as the List Browse, Search Engine,
Forums, and Wiki.

your peers can communicate freely in an environment that is free from moderation,
censorship, advertising, commercialism, SPAM, and computer viruses.

Subject: | Tail plane questions |
Hello all, in the absence of the factory for parts, a kit that has been waiting
to be finished for a few decades and now is in progress again, the stabilator
axis has been found to have one end about 8mm higher than the other.
If the plastic bush needs replacing after the removal, can anyone help with material
spec and dimensions to make up a new one?
Also, the modification to strengthen the counterweight installation was deemed
necessary due to a bent arm, I gather.
Has it been considered if cushioning of the mass before end of travel could achieve
what the beefing up of the arm sought to do?
Best regards,
Alex Kaarsberg, kit 529

Alex
For what it's worth my tailplane has one side higher than the other and it
flies fine.
The stab arm is sort of cushioned at the bottom. I put a stop on the top
of the ply containment thing to stop the weight hitting the fuselage top.
The plastic rings look like hdpe but i don't know for sure.

Alex,
My bushes are yet to be fitted, so could measure them up for you if
needed, I'm away from it for a couple of weeks but after that will have
access.
