This week I took 181 up to 4500' over water and started practicing 180 turn-backs; recording data to establish a 100' height turn at 70kt clean and 55kt dirty. Numbers say it is well within the europa's performance envelope of can do... Pulled the 100hp ULS out of its crate and scrubbed it up ready to replace the 80hp... A new set of spark plug lead caps and a five year rubber change service and it will be ready to bolt in. Subject: Mono trailer front strap
    From: "rparigoris" <rparigor@hotmail.com>
Hi Group We moved our XS Mono on the factory trailer for the first time. It didn't have the front cowl or glass installed. On the swing up ramp, our trailer has holes for a tie down. We looped a ratchet tie down up and over the fuse just below the windscreen. That tie down stayed in place only a short time. Since we didn't have the glass installed we went up and over the ceiling. Question, when trailering a Mono XS with cowl and glass installed, how do you hold the front of the plane down, if at all? Thx. Ron P. Good afternoon Ron, I put a small ratchet strap over the mainwheel with a plywood shim each side of the tire keeping it centered and snug. I also found a ramp extension was required to load the aircraft otherwise the flaps would contact the trailer. Best regards, Dwayne PS Bud put out a very useful video regarding the mono trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkMHilMEKJk Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=515208#515208

Ron, See attached. Big file. If it doesn't transfer I'll send it over drop box . A properly tuned trailer should not need any fuselage to transporter strap.
