Alan,
As mentioned, Walter Binder has done it. I had an opportunity to meet with him
some 25 years ago and took several photos of his unique plane. As a result,
I subsequently fabricated my own design for retractable outriggers and extended
baggage bay, well before the XS was introduced. Walter allowed me to take all
the pictures I wanted, but was tight lipped on the design/construction of his
various modifications. Of course my German wasnt very good either. If you
are interested, I can see about resurrecting them.

Eric, I will not be fitting a hook but I would be interested in retractable outriggers.

Thank you for your response.
I'm located in Brazil, and here, tow planes used for non-profit purposes
don't require certification. I still have access to the fuselage internals,
so reinforcing the structure for a tow hook could be feasible. It would be
incredibly helpful if Mr. Binder would be willing to share some photos of
his installation.
Out of curiosity, I've already converted my Europa to a standard
taildragger configuration rather than the monowheel.
Thank you again for your input.
Sincerely,
Wladimir
