Subject: | Re: First long trip |
After spending a whole day in a perfectly built RV7 for the first time, I can say
the Europa seating for me is much more comfortable. After the first 4 hours
in the RV my ass was starting to get tired of being in there; no seat angle adjustments,
man was it loud inside the thing. In comparison I can do a 12 hour
day in the europa and jump out feeling fresh and good to then drive home. Headrests
would be nice.

We are talking about custom built aircraft, each one equipped with different seats
so my Europa comfort is unlikely similar to yours.
Jim sounds like your seats are very good, I am looking at Oregon Aero seats myself
now, I want comfort, I don't have that. Area 51 that is incredible, I can't
sit that long myself even in the Cathay Pacific 747-400 business class seats
which were very big and comfortable, it was 14 hrs to Hong Kong and I needed
to stretch, go for a walk at some point.

Agree; seats are very personal items. Everyone has different needs... I tried to
go for a walk in the europa but it was a bit too cramped, and there is not enough
headroom to stand up and stretch my arms
