Subject: | Monowheel trailer questions |
Hi Group
We have an open Factory Mono XS Trailer.
It has 4.80 x 8 tires we just replaced. The speed rating on the 6 ply tires is
71M which is supposedly 81mph. The load rating is 745lbs at 90psi.
Questions:
** What is the fastest speed you trailer at and for how long?
** What pressure do you run in the tires? I believe it should be 90psi no matter
the load?
** Do you have an airspeed limit that you try not to exceed? Vehicle speed plus
headwind.
** How often do you stop and feel that the bearings and or tires to make sure they
aren't excessively warm?
** Do you have a distance limit with small wheel trailer where if you need to exceed
that distance, just put the entire Europa trailer on a proper car trailer?
**When putting the Europa trailer on a car trailer, do you load the trailer rudder
first? Or rudder last?
Thx.
Ron P.
BTW, we installed LED lights on the trailer that are wired to the front of trailer.
We installed another female flat 4 connector aft on the trailer. We also
installed another one up front.
We purchased a wireless LED light kit. A transmitter connects to a flat 4. You
put the lights anywhere you want. We will install them on 2 blades of the prop.
Will sew up a slip on prop protector with LED holder. I forget the battery burn
time, more than 6 hours though. They are USB chargeable.
At moment we have a set of wired lights that screw into our wing tip position light
mount. we could still use them if we want, but may just get another set of
wireless. This would also be easier with the long wings.
Will post pics when completed.
