This unit is of excellent quality. I feel that it's main claim for fame for aircraft use, is that the plug locks into the receptacle. It's original application is in boats. Both aircraft and boats live in an environment which features much more vibration than do cars and trucks. This receptacle/plug combination will positively lock in place. However, the plug is easily removed by simply rotating it either clockwise or counter-clockwise 30 degrees to release it. I've found that the receptacle when used with other plugs offers improved resistance to the plug vibrating out. It holds the charger for my Nokia cell phone quite well. The item is made by Marinco, model number 12VPK. The included plug houses a 10 amp fuse, an LED power indicator and a water tight seal. I found mine at my local Boat Owners Warehouse (BOW). It wasn't listed in the online catalog, but they had it in stock. Here is the company's link to the product. http://www.marinco.com/scpt/ProdPage.php?loadItem=12VPK_Marinco%20Shore%20Power Charlie Kuss __________________________________________________
