I started working on my Falco about a year ago. I'm making the wood parts from the wood to size kits from western aircraft in Canada. I've finished the fuselage frames and all the tail ribs, and I'm currently working on the tail spars. I didn't have a garage to work in before, so I worked out of a shed in the backyard and some smaller things in the house. I moved last month and the new place has a single car garage so at least now I have a "workshop." I plan on making all of the wood parts and other smaller odds and ends for a couple more years until I can move to a place with a larger garage. Maybe do the tail and the aileron/flaps. I'm young, so I have more time than space or money. I was really disappointed that there was no forum for us back when I started, but I'm glad I didn't have to wait too long. I just discovered this looking through the aero-electric archives. I've had some help from Alfred and various owners/builders in the past but I hope you guys are ready for me....now that I have a place to ask questions to the general Falco public... Also, for those of you with time to kill or are just curious, I have a website that I use as a builder log/journal for myself and family/friends, although I think the only people that really look at it are my parents... http://fikus.homeftp.net I run the website off a server I have at home so the connection won't be as fast as some websites, but it gets the job done. -Ryan Vaughan Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=45580#45580 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 06:13:34 PM PST US From: George Richards Subject: Re: Falco-List: it's alive! --> Falco-List message posted by: George Richards Hi Ryan.. Now that I have a little more time.... I built my Falco on a fairly tight budget so if I can help you get things done for a little less please let me know. One huge saving is the fuel tanks.. I have a pretty good system now after making quite a few so that is one are that can help. Electrical is another and some of the gear system is another. I'm happy to help. All the best.
