Also, the higher pressure gives you some cushion in regards to the pressure necessary to operate the hydraulic sequence valves which I believe is in the area of 1100#.. After 170 hrs, I have not had any problems, and do not find it necessary to drop my speed on gear retraction on takeoff. I have a hydraulic pressure gauge on my panel which is really helpful.
