One of my largest gains in speed on my Gl2SFT was when I carefully  aligned 
my wheel pants with the center line of the plane. I accomplished this by  
dropping plumb lines off the nose and tail. I drew a line using a seven  foot long

wall paper hangers straight edge. Then I drew parallel lines  right under the 
wheels. After doing that I could see that the trailing edges of  the wheel 
pants where off by up to two inches and readjusted the wheel pant  mounting 
brackets.
