I would make the rudder out of carbon fiber and save weight on the rudder
and the counter weight. I wouldn't be surprised if it took only a few ounces of
counter weight to balance a carbon fiber rudder.

rudder is to far done to back up now ,,,maybe carbon down the road but not
now,,...,how much is to much weight to have to add past the 4.5 lbs in the
book to bal it? Or does it matter ???? rp

When you take into consideration all the planes not flying with counter
weighted rudders. I don't have mine weighted with five pounds and I have had my
plane in speeds up to 260 mph in high speed passes.
