I have one of their simpler units and it works fine - made of stainless, with 4 slip/flex joints on an IO-320. The exhaust should have slip joints between the pipes off of each cylinder, otherwise the joints are prone to cracking from expansion. Also, the lower sections need to be fastens to the engine with slip jointed brackets that dampen vibration yet support the weight - rubber shock mounts or friction slip joints will work. Look at a car and see how the car designers do this! The larger the design, the more important it is to support the weight. Otherwise, you will likely crack a head from the hung weight of the exhaust vibrating the head(s) - not good. Best of luck. The magazine has a photograph showing the exhaust system that pictures four straight pipes. Does anyone know where he purchased the system and the part number? I installed a Stoddard Hamilton SS cross over exhaust system that constantly cracks at the "Y's" and at the flanges. --------------------------------- Never miss a thing.
