Its my way of publicly thanking everyone that took a minute to show their appreciation
for the Lists.
Won't you take minute and assure that your name is on the upcoming LOC? Tell others
that you appreciate the Lists. Making a Contribution to support the Lists

Yep, have gotten p-static before flying in dry snow. You can be heard
by Center when you transmit, but you can't hear them (nor do VHF NAV's
work) due to the buzzing of the p-static. Don't know if GPS is
affected. (Haven't flown IFR since getting a hand held GPS.)
I ended up putting a bonding wire on the rudder pedals and stick to
ground them to the engine. We kept getting shocked touching the
throttle when flying in charging conditions. (Even flying in virga here
in Arizona.)

Sounds like perfect conditions for p static in a Glasair. Obviously
unrelated to
the canopy issue though.

I used to get shocked.....and rudely! I'm only 5'7", so my seat cushion places
me 'close to the stick', you might say. After a couple jolts to my privates, I
learned not to fly in virga or dry snow. :)
