Hi Debbie?=0A=0AI need more information. =0A=0AThis noise - is
it in both radios or just one? Headphone or speakers, or b
oth? Engine running, engine off, or both? Alternator on or o
ff with engine running?=0A=0AI can't imagine how it could be
the battery. We've been using Interstate Glassmat batteries for
16 years.=0A=0AWhat brand radios?=0A=0AWe do get an occasional s
quelch break when monitoring 121.5 on COM 1. One radio guy
told me it was interference from COM 2, when the antennas
are the right distance apart. But I don't think that's the
new problem you're talking about after 20 years of flying.=0A=0A
=0AMike <><=0A=0A=0A After 20 years of usage my Glasair radios
developed a loud squelch like noise. Both radios and the
audio panel checked out. And I replaced the C.B's,toggle
switches, radio solenoid and checked the wires going to the
ground bus bar. The radio repairman said it could be my
Interstate Glassmat Battery, BNC connector or antenna ground.
Has anyone experienced this problem?
