r.com,=C2-and I didn't have to do any modifications. The new springs are
thinner, and thus weigh slightly less than the originals, but the length is
the same. I ordered the 15# springs, and although they do hold the canopie
s open, it doesn't take much force at all for the canopy to come down, so I
recommend going with a higher pressure.=C2-Here's what I ordered:

Subject: Glasair-List: I need a canopy gas spring replacement
Well, after 21 years, one of the gas springs for one of canopies couldn't b
e recharged
anymore. It says it's an FAN118-050.
I can't find anything on the web about them.
I know that Glasair did a running change on the springs when the GII came o
ut.
The problem with using the new spring is that I would have to re-fiberglas
some
bracketry and/or drill some new holes. (The new springs were slightly longe
r
than the old.)
Anyone know a cross over for our old spings?
