Jacob, This configuration will not work. DC current does not flow through a
 capacitor once the capacitor reaches system voltage. It acts like a =C2-
switch that turns off. You might want to check with aeroelectric list for b
est advice. A capacitor in parallel instead of in series might work but oth
er components would be necessary.

I have a GlaStar with with an aerosance fadec that went bad. To get flying 
again I am pulling the fadec (which covers both fuel injection and ignition
) out, as well as the VM1000 engine monitor because it only works with the

=99s (the 2 load positions) and 1 output that flows through a capacit
or then into the engine monitor to switch voltages? I realize that switch i
s made for 1 battery in and 2 load outs, can I run it backwards? In my mind
, the capacitor would have enough stored energy to keep the engine monitor 
running during the system 1/2 switch.
