Drew,
I have been an A&P for almost twelve years. I went to a school to do mine. I
would like to have done the apprenticeship if there were one available,
instead of going to school for it. See if the local place will work with you
as an apprentice, and get your A&P that way.
Good Luck,
Linc

Hello List,
About A&P, has anyone experiance with gaining an A&P license as a foreigner.
I am from the Netherlands, and is impossible to get a Dutch A&P license for
over three years. They just don't take any test if people apply for it. I do
work at an JAR approved company. We got some customers with N reg. aircraft.
Thanks,
Jesse

The class I was in had a man from Croatia, and a man from Panama in it. Both did
very well and earned an A&P in the US. I'm not sure about reciprocity with
the Dutch authorities, but it shouldn't be hard to make it transfer.
Drew

Hi! I am already an "A", and have taken my orals for the "P". I just need to
get back to the Part 147 school I attended for a week to finish and take my writtens.
I'm currently studying for my FAA General while occupied with something else that
has interrupted my life and career.
Thanks,
Drew
