If it is a small hole, fill it with a bolt, washers and nut. Larger holes may be patched with a bolt and two (2) AN970 large area washers, one on either side of the firewall. If it is too big to cover with washers, consider a patch of stainless or galvanized steel, matched to the thickness of your firewall material, secured with screws & nuts and a fire-rated caulk sealant. I had a couple of -4 holes intended to mount a fuel pump, & wanted something a bit lighter, so I used stainless sheet I cut from a really cheap cooking pot bought at Walmart (discount retailer here in the US). The gray stuff is intumescent caulk, but 'proseal' or regular silicone would work fine & proseal is what Van's Aircraft recommends for sealing the firewall. Yes, the aluminum rivets will melt, but the entire firewall is riveted with aluminum rivets.
