I understand that the serial number is 948. Does anyone know where I can obtain such a document? Thanks. I purchased it as is. Therefore I would like to know if possible who sells plans and I will explain and hope to get something official. Here in the US since the builder is listed as the manufacturer he can put whatever serial number for the plane. The idea of a serial number is more relevant for companies manufacturing many units. If it was registered in the USA, the serial number should be on the registration papers. If it's a never-registered project, the USA allows the builder (not the kit maker) to assign the serial number when he registers the plane (as others have said). Your country's laws would control, but the plans number might be the most logical starting point. The plane has been registered in Italy as a microlight. There is no serial number in the registration papers. I reckon that I should contact the ones who sell the plans and show the papers of the plane. I wonder whether that would be a way to get something official.
